No Wound Heals Overnight

Being human means accepting that at some point, we will surely be hurt.
Wounded, broken, disappointed, and destroyed. As fragile as humans are.
When we were children, we must have been injured and bled at some point. Then we cried. Especially those of us who had a wild childhood—it was practically a daily occurrence.
Allow me to ask, did any of those wounds heal overnight? When morning came, was the wound and its scar gone without a trace?
We know the answer all too well.
A wound on your foot or hand is no different from a wound in your heart.
Don't force that wound to heal instantly. Accept the pain and allow time to heal it.
I will never say that a wound doesn't hurt—no. Wounds are painful. So why should we accept that pain? When we accept the pain and stop forcing ourselves to heal, we release one burden that weighs us down.
Forcing a wound to heal is an impossible hope that only burdens us. Therefore, let it go.
As time passes, the pain will lessen, lessen, and lessen. Until one day, we will forget that we were ever wounded.
