When situations are unclear, we are forced by circumstances to choose between waiting or keep moving. There is no absolutely correct answer, as the wise say, a good answer always begins with, "It depends".

If there are no dangerous consequences, we are free to choose—stay still until the situation becomes clear or keep moving. However, if the choice we make means gambling with circumstances, which could lead to bad outcomes, while staying still would keep us safe, then staying still is the best choice.

Don't act foolishly just to appear brave.

While waiting for the situation to become clear, we can do what we can. Reflecting on the steps we've taken, or even crafting a better plan, once the path becomes visible.

Whatever it is, small steps are still progress.
