No beating around the bush here.
If you want to be a respected man, be a man who dares to say, "I was wrong", then "I'm sorry".
It seems strange, we want to be respected, but we show our weak side. But that's how the world works. Weakness actually shows strength.
Men are stubborn beings, unwilling to be controlled, feeling above everything.
This is a necessary ability for leadership. With this trait, he can endure life's bitter hardships. With this too, he can die bleeding, not figuratively, but truly die covered in blood, on the battlefield, not for himself, but for others.
However, when a man fails to control it, this trait will turn back and destroy that man himself.
Remember well, that a man with all his strength, was born into this world, to provide a sense of security to women.
When living life together with a partner, we will certainly, certainly, make mistakes.
Why? Because men are humans, not angels who never err. No matter how strong we are, we are still human, and humans will always make mistakes.
What happens if, when wrong, then reminded by a partner, a man gets angry and refuses to admit fault? Don't be a foolish man.
How can a sick person be healed, if he himself won't admit that he is sick?
Learn to admit when you're wrong. Practice being honest with yourself. First admit fault to yourself, "Hey self, I admit I was wrong, I'm sorry". Admitting to yourself will make it easier to admit fault in front of others.
Finally, I want to quote a statement from Jordan Peterson,
You should be a monster, an absolute monster and then you should learn how to control it.
